Eric hails from the sailing oriented province of Alberta.  He was successful in his youth training in and racing Laser Radial all around North America.  After winning a Canadian youth championship and a Canada Games medal in 2005, he diverted his attention to the study of engineering in the sailing town of Kingston, Ontario.  Since then, Eric has attempted to surround himself with as many boats and race styles as possible.  This has included participation with Queen’s Sailing Team, coaching Optimist, Lasers and 29ers, sailing International 14s, windsurfing, Laser sailing and most recently, crewing for the past two seasons on Shark keelboats at KYC.  SYWoC is an opportunity for Eric to apply his knowledge of sailing, mechanics and teamwork to the success of the Canadian team.
