Ever since he crewed for his dad at the age of 3, Dirk has been a passionate and competitive sailor. At age 10, he joined the Lake Ontario Optimist Team and ever since has raced a wide variety of boats including Byte, Laser 2, 29er, 420, 470 and Radial. Over the last few years Dirk has discovered the exciting and different challenge of keelboat sailing.
